This post in my thrifting series features a patterned crop top that I picked up from Shelter, the same spot where I grabbed the palm print shirt in my last entry. It is originally from H&M and I was drawn to it because I felt the pattern would pair well with other items in my wardrobe (but you can be the judge if I paired them well).
I don't usually wear crop tops because I feel self conscious but I felt this one was different because I could layer it with other items as opposed to the tighter t-shirt crop tops seen in stores today.

Here I layered it with my chambray shirt underneath which I wasn't sure if it would work but I ended up liking the outcome! This is a good way to wear a crop top when the weather gets too cold to expose your middle.

This outfit feels a little bit seventies to me. I wore my black turtleneck underneath and added my A-line skirt from Topshop. Tights added would also look good with this outfit.

Please excuse my hair here, the wind doesn't make it look so good! I picked up these mom jeans from Topshop the other day and think they go great with this top. The waist on these pants is high enough that I don't mind exposing my midriff. This is an easy outfit that I would definitely wear if only it was a little warmer out!
So I hope I showed you how you can take a summer item and make it appropriate for Fall, because all it takes is a little creativity!
Here are more patterned crop tops for you to look at:
Have a great weekend everyone!!
